Marmolada Vor Sonnenaufgang auf der Pareispitze (2978 m) in den Fanesbergen, Blick zu den Ciampestrinspitzen, zur Marmolada (3343 m) und zum Gran Vernel. Mit Stirnlampen sind wir am frühen Montagmorgen vom Limojoch zur Pareispitze aufgestiegen. Noch herrscht Dunkelheit und Kälte auf dem schneebedeckten Gipfel, und es dauert eine halbe Ewigkeit, bis am Horizont das erste Licht des Tages heraufzieht. Bereits lange vor den ersten Sonnenstrahlen leuchten die Dolomitenberge im Morgengrauen, und Marmolada, die schneeweiß gekleidete Dolomitenkönigin, erstrahlt in atemberaubender Klarheit. With the lights of our headlamps, we ascended from Limojoch. Still there's darkness and coldness at the snowy peak, and it feels like we're waiting hours for the first light at the horizon. But long before sunrise, the pale Dolomites glow in the crack of dawn, and Marmolada, the queen of the Dolomites, appears with stunning clarity in her snow-white dresses.
